Erin Pirro

As a farm business consultant and vice president, my work is centered on helping clients analyze their business from many angles to pinpoint methods for improving their profitability. With costs constantly rising, competition getting fiercer, and information moving faster than ever before, good managers need to focus on where they can make the biggest difference in their business. My job is to provide that focus. Every business has a lot of moving parts.

I enjoy helping my clients develop goals and prioritize the steps to make them happen. I know I’ve done a good job when clients tell me “Wow, Erin. You challenged us and made a difference in the way we think about our business.”

My projects include strategic business planning, business entity selection and formation, financial and enterprise management reporting and analysis, expansion planning, budgets and forecasting, and farm succession planning.

I led Farm Credit East’s Agricultural Retail Benchmarks (www.FarmCreditEast/ARB), a customized program that develops industry standards for owners and manages of farm stands, garden centers, and pick-your-own operations.

At home, my family raises and markets Connecticut Grown lamb and wool products. Visit us at SepeFarm.com (lamb, blankets, sheepskin) and MorehouseFarm.com (super soft, superfine Merino yarn).
