Kelsey Gosch

Meet Kelsey!

I am the Development and Project Coordinator, which means management of all things fundraising and support on some of our key projects like the Bypass Network and the Farming and Food Narrative Project.

Why Red Tomato?

Red Tomato is an incredible innovator in the food/agricultural system–I love the creativity I get to bring into my work in pursuit of our vision of an equitable food system that values and sustains our region’s farms. It helps that I’m surrounded by such incredible coworkers who are all working toward the same vision 🙂 It’s pretty inspiring.

How about some fun facts?

I got my start in food systems work as a research fellow in the Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab (Food Lab) at the University of Buffalo under Dr. Samina Raja. At the same time, I started working at a small community farm in Natick, MA.

I love being outdoors, from hiking in the Adirondacks to getting my hands in some soil whenever I can.

I’m an avid runner–I’m trying to run a marathon in all 50 states.

We have to ask – favorite fruit or vegetable to cook with (or eat)?

I love cooking all kinds of squash–they’re so versatile and always tasty! And they signal my favorite season–fall. Nothing compliments the cooling air like a hot bowl of butternut soup or some roasted acorn squash with some warm spices.
